Was lucky enough to be invited out to Thuringowa State High school today. The staff and teachers made me feel at home and after setting up I was ready to meet the kids. There were some students already with their own copies and after signing a few books, I talked about my experiences with getting Perigord into the readers hands. What really impressed me was the level of mature questions and genuine interest into what it takes to write. I really wish I had, had the passion and focus at their age in pursuing their dreams.
Over all it was a great experience and I would like to thank Bernadette Crust in organising my visit to coincide with literacy week.
